IME Pay and Khalti merger complete, integrated transactions to begin from 1st July
The merger process between Nepal’s two largest digital payment service providers, IME Digital Solutions Limited (IME Pay) and Khalti Private Limited (Khalti), has been completed. The new company formed after the merger, ‘IME Khalti Limited’, is set to start integrated transactions from Thursday, August 1.
The two companies have set the date for the merger transaction after receiving final approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the Office of the Registrar of Companies. Nepal Rastra Bank granted final approval to the merger on 4th Ashad and the Office of the Registrar of Companies on 12th Ashad.
According to a joint announcement issued by both companies on Monday, the merger process has been finalized with IME Digital Solutions Limited assuming all assets and liabilities of Khalti Private Limited.
After the merger, the company’s central office will be located in Panipokhari, Ward No. 3, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
