Android phone notifications will now be managed by AI
Notifications on Android phones will now be managed by AI (Artificial Intelligence). Google is introducing a new feature that will automatically manage the hundreds of notifications that come to your phone.
The main objective of this feature, called ‘Notification Organizer’, is to relieve users from the hassle of unnecessary notifications. This feature will automatically analyze the various alerts coming to the phone, separate them into different categories such as promotions, news, social (social networks), and group them into groups (bundles).
The company believes that this feature will reduce the problem of user distraction by automatically muting unnecessary notifications and placing them in a single group, just as Gmail separates emails into different tabs.
This feature is expected to be released with the Android 16 update. Users will be able to exclude apps they consider important from this management, so that they won’t miss notifications from banking, messaging, or other important apps.
Google is said to initially make this feature available only on its own Pixel phones and later expand it to other Android devices. Since this feature will be part of the ‘Android System Intelligence’ app, Google believes that it will work with user privacy and data security in mind.
